Has any one out there relocated their 4wd button? There are a few empty spots on my dash that would work really well, and Id like to run a different shift knob. I have an Idea of what I need to do and how to get it done, but I though I'd ask the gurus.

I haven't yet, but it's on my list of things to do. My stock knob with the button is currently zip tied to my seat support. So I need to find a new button and a place to put it. I was planning to put mine between the seats somewhere, moving it to the dash would be more difficult because you need to re-route all the wires.
I'm not sure if you realized it yet, but the stock knob is not threaded on. So getting a decent replacement for it will require some fabrication to get an after market knob to fit.

I haven't tried to take the knob off, so good to know. And I like the idea of having it between the seats. Would I need to re use the same switch? Or can I get a toggle switch?

A toggle switch should work. However, if I recall correctly there are 4 wires going to the switch and I'm not sure why. I'll have to look at my fsm to see if I can tell why there's 4 wires.
The stock knob is held on with a roll pin. Mine was seized pretty good so I had a hard time getting it out at first. You may need to remove the whole assembly so you can clamp the lever in a vice to pound the pin out.

I have the same roll pin in mine. While it's out, I'd like to replace all of the bushing to reduce shifter play. Does anyone make a kit? Do you know the dimensions of the bushings so that they can be sourced individually?
