this is the car i drive. my Justy is inside that barn in the background sadly. this is registered as a 88 model but it is an older body so i think it is a '87 registered in '88. it is pretty rusted but only on the surface, there are absolutely no holes. i was sanding down the rust spots and paiting over with a rattlecan until winter struck. you can not paint in freezing temperatures. i bought it last spring, this is my first car. the justy was/is my second. it has a 1500cc 4 cylender carbourated engine. the registration paper says that it has 68 hp. I find that hard to believe, my justy felt a lot more energetic. probeply a few horses have escaped over the years. it is registered 1005kg. it has 6 gears. 1-5 and r. then there is ExtraLow, when things get real. also you can change between fwd and 4wd with the little stick. this is a monster in the snow. i bought new spike tieres early this winter. here in Iceland we have a lot of ice in the winter and no matter how good your car is it is useless if you do not have spike tieres. this moment there is a thin layer of snow on top of ice so everything is extra slippery. the exhoust pipe has rusted apart under the car, the waterpump seal is leaking and the distibutour and valves may need adjusting but it runs like a charm once it has heated up. it also has the coolest seats i have seen, i want to put them in a justy. does anyone have an idea what rv special stands for?

Neat car, your right the seats are great, I LOVE plaid! I think "R.V." Stands for -Recreation Vehicle typically in reference to a camping or off road thing like a quad.

I would agree with gearheadeh it's probably the fact that it is 4wd. I love a toyota especially older yoters my daily driver is a 222222 (rolled over to that no. the other day ) mi 95 toyota tacoma, I call The Taco or El Taco. As far as older toyotas go like yours we don't see them often in the US at least not in the southeast. Awesome car by the way love it!
