So, Here are some pics of the nooks and crannies of the Justy that I have explored in my quest to clean out the interior air system. Also, I found some spots where dirt hides. A LOT OF IT! The big problem is that my Justy spits pine needles out of the dash vents. I took apart the interior ducting to the heater core, and shop vac'd that out. The needles kept coming. SO, I went to the source, in the cowl between hood and windshield. To get this out, take off your wipers, and I believe a few bolts under the hood. Then the plastic cowl pops out of some retainers with a little pull. The small plastic panel shown is an access hatch for getting at the wiper workings. Put it back on once you clean this area out. The stock system draws air in on the driver's side, then pulls it accross the car to the intake on the pass. side. This lets all the junk settle out before entering the vehicle. Here's a look inside, where all the junk gathers, near the driver's side intake: Looking down the tunnel, towards the pass. side: Pass. side interior air intake. Raised to keep debris/water out. Smart people there at Fuji Heavy Industries! And, finally, a look at what I vac'd out of the cowl, the heater core ducts, and some of the interior:

This was written for a Gen II, as that's what my Justy is. Not sure of the difference with a Gen I.
