I really need some help with my Justy EF10 engine
My engine is back firing when when stepping on the accelerator.
And:
The timing belt is installed correctly
Swapped out the dizzy from another good working car.
Swapped the coil pack
Healthy spark to the plugs
Dizzy installed correctly (it can only go on one way)
The crankshaft, the camshaft, dizzy rotor, dizzy cam and dizzy cap aligned exactly like this other good working car I have ( they are identical subaru J10 )
They are exactly the same, I triple and quadruple checked!
The car was working great! the next morning it wouldn t start!
I rotated the dizzy (advanced) until the engine sounded right at 800rpm.
I checked with my timing light and it showed that I am 60 degrees BTDC!
If I put it back to 5 BTDC It starts pinging hard and often stalls when cold.
After I warmed the engine up I tried putting it back to 5 BTDC and the ping wasnt that noticeable this time, but when i stepped on the accelerator it backfires BIG TIME @ 4000 rpm.
Please help... It sounds physically impossible that this is happening... noone can help me solve this issue cause noone knows how to set 3 cylinders around here!
