Ok, ill play here is the small boy, it's been with me for 6 years now, i bought it for less than $500 bucks at the time, it was beaten up by racing the poor thing until it died, and quite rusted too, so its been a damn long sweat and money engulfing proyect 1978 datsun fairlady280Z after i killed it some more myself by abusive racing/stupidity, bought 2 donor cars to revive the thing, first a crashed 83 zx, from which i took the 15'' alloy rims, carpet, rear disk brakes and the 280 fi turbo plant (it had some 260 carbed engine before, the original motor was probably destroyed by previous abuse) ; and second a rotted to the bone 280Z 77 to get the interior stuff and detailings ( seats, dash, console, emblems, door trims ) cuz the interior was also been stripped , probably to make it lighter after a lot of rust stripping and body work its been painted on the original orange,( couldn't resist to get the hood in black ;D )

Very nice work Jintei! I love nothing more than to see something old made new again! It is also nice when a car comes with a 'pit-crew' of supporters! ;D

well, i guess the radio could be like: 40% korean, 50% japanese, 9% american and only 1% from europe. weird huh? this is how rusty it was on the floor and after some chainsaw.... EDIT: see the wood block supporting the dials? thats what the center console consisted of, a damn table was there...

When you going to do some motor work to it? I say some motorsport flattops, L28ET block and P90a head and toss on a good sized Holset turbo

It's nice to see a cone filter where it can actually do some good for a change. I think this is the first time ever on these boards that someone has done a cone filter where it will help rather than hurt. Good job.

Very nice cars guys! Love the old Datsun's. My "boss" has a 1970's 510 that's fully restored and all tweaked out with multiple upgrades, and he actually drives it like it should be driven, which is rare. Terry

nicely done scoobie, excelent choice of color and rims you did there, are you doing something special with the hood? i see you have a BEGI fuel pressure regulator, are you planning on going turbo? also, theres where those datsuns bring the air filter originally seattle, no room for anywere else ( Nice to be arrowund here again:) CHEERS EVERYONE!
