Hi guys, I'm new to the justy world. I justy bought a just two days ago and I'm thinking I need to upgrade the wheels and tires for safety reasons, the wheels I believe are the original 12" and are no more than 5" wide and the tires are narrow and squishy. I don't know the actual measurement but every little crack and groove in the road takes me into a different direction and kinda gets scary around 60+Mph I just want something wider and more stable that won't mess up the speedo. I need the rim size and offset as well as the tire size. Thanks!

I read this article one time about optimal sidewall height on different surfaces. The author quoted several "experts" (people who sell tires for a living) and the Michelin guy said that around 3.11" you lose benefit and are looks only (with a totally detrimental effect on the car/wheel).
before that, we know about the obvious tradeoffs. my 195/45R15s have 3.45" of sidewall. That means 16" are an impossibility with this rule on stock suspension. I like what I have and the way it feels on the turns, but it does make the ride a little jarring and is not for everyone.

So if the 175-50-15 that i'm after are 3.44.. they should be ok.. pretty much same as yours..

clearly a difference haha. I miss the rear tires on the 91, whatever those were, they performed very well.
