185/60R13 is an awesome size for a Justy, looks buff! The only thing is that your only realistic option is the Sumitomo HTR200 Summer tire. Affordable but not such a great all year tire if you live in the rainy NorthWest or the RustBelt where it snows a shit-tonne.

This is why I said the Sumitomos are the only "realistic" option. When people won't spend $250 to do something correctly to fix their Justy that they only paid $800 for I find it most unlikely that they would spend one thousand dollars on tires. If you live in California then you may as well get the Sumitomos as they are a great Summer tire and will last much longer than the Proxes.

While tires/rims aren't my forté, won't 185's rub the trailing arms? stacks It is the owners responsibility when deviating from stock, to use wheels with an adequate offset or otherwise in conjunction with wheel-spacers and since the stock Justys 13" wheels are only 5" wide Stacks, it kind of goes without saying that a non-standard wheel would be employed as a 185mm tire is too wide for stockers.

this link is for a handy tire and wheel size calculator that lets you make a good deal of comparisons. www.wheelsmaster.com/rt_specs.jspFor the Left side enter you justy OEM 165/65R13 13x5.00 @ 35 offset, then on the right put the proposed new tire and wheel size. My Justy is running 175/70R13's those have 5mm of clearance in the rear. I have honda civic 14" steelies 14x5.50 (185/60R14) that seem to fit just fine, I just don't have a full matched set on those rims right now. My wheels: Justy stock 13" rims with 175/70R13 winter tires. Civic stock 14" rims with 195/60R14 all seasons

I would like to know more about your Civic rims you are using. I had my heart set on some Civic HX 14" alloys but have not been able to find them, and do not know if they would even work on my car. I am willing to modify the car to make them work as well, in this case. Otherwise I will find a set of GL stockers and continue with the 165/65-13. Whereabouts in Tigard? I lived on the corner of Inez and SW 103rd w/ my family for a bit. The classic old house has since become a church parking lot. I miss the Mongolian BBQ. There was an AWESOME spares yard out on Pacific Highway as well - used to score most of my old Toyota parts there.

Do you have any way to record 0-60 times? Also, do you own a digital camcorder?

Do you have any way to record 0-60 times? Also, do you own a digital camcorder? Wont have to. The rims have the wrong offset and the tires wouldnt even bolt on without tire hitting inside. LOL.. Yeah I kinda had a feeling but I was just gonna wait and see what you reported. Getting a 215 section width tire beneath a Justy is a very tall order unless you have zero offsets or negative offsets and even then you'd be out past the fender most likely. That kind of weight is going to hamper your performance in every way. Maybe shoot for some 195/50R15 tires. They're the biggest you can stuff under a Justy provided your offset is correct and there's a bunch on sale for around $65 right now! www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSearchResults.jsp?width=195%2F&ratio=50&diameter=15&x=103&y=7

The only thing that matters is keeping the tire under 23" tall. So 155/80R13 tires (22.8" diameter) will fit both front and back? Anyone who have tried 155/80R13 tires on all four wheels?

I've had 155/80/13's on a 4wd Gen2 with minimal clearance issues. It all depends on the tire manufacturer. They're not all exactly the same width and height. 175/70/13's have worked out very well for me so far and have been easy to find. The only thing that matters is keeping the tire under 23" tall. My current set of winter tires are worn out, but I have a set of 155/80R13 tires from my old car. One problem is that 155/80R13 tires are illegal where I live, since the circumference deviates more than 5% from the stock size (165/65R13). So I would never buy a new set beyond the 5% limit. I found this list of different tire sizes on a Justy: www.dustysjustys.com/wheels.htm195/60R14 (23.2") is listed as a tight fit, so I guess 155/80R13 (22.8") should be ok. Justy4x4, have you driven in snowy conditions with 155/80R13 tires? And thanks for the initial reply! Makes me less worried to try the "big" tires

Makes me less worried to try the "big" tires The 155/80/13 I had weren't snow tires so they didn't work too well in the deep stuff. I'm currently running 165/70/13 on one car and 175/70/13 on another. Both sets are snows and they make a HUGE difference in handling and traction when things get ugly!

I've put on the 155/80R13 tires now. There are some minor clearance issues with the back wheels, but I expect to avoid rubbing as long as I drive "normal" and don't push the limits.
I used a GPS to see whether the bigger tires made the speedometer inaccurate, and was very pleased by the results.
Speedometer : Actual (GPS) 40 : 39 60: 60 80: 81 100: 101 120 : 122 (All numbers are in kph.)

I drive with 175/70 R13 and have noticed about 7-8 % difference by speedometer also gears are longer and uphill need to push up to 4000-4500 rpm to shift the higher gear without lack of power to be around 3000 rpm, but is more comfortable now on bad roads. when speedometer shows 100 actual speed is 107 km/h, my original tires are 12"

The profile of tires isn't necessarily something that many people try to find on their brand new vehicles. The selection of low-profile tires or regular tires can affect your vehicle’s performance and repair costs. Low-profile tires are costly and difficult to drive with. Before determining on this choice, you need to know what you are getting yourself into.
