Thans Looking good ultima! Always nice to see justy with turbo What's the size of tha't ic? I think the cells was ~15x30cm. It will probably require some cutting to make it fit, but it's worth it That hood has me envious.....why don't you sell it to me, it's even the right color for me L.O.L. Seriously what is that long red metal strip for in the other picture. Hehe The "long red metal strip" is the thing between the front fenders, under the headlights. Btw, I got my exhaust manifold flange today, and a kinda thick aluminum plate for carb adapter today Looking NICE!

Hello - your project looks pretty great! My wife is from Sweden and I have been over a few times - each time we looked for Justys but couldn't find any. Now I think we will try looking for Trendys. Where are you at over there anyway? We had talked about moving over (near Stockholm) and shipping our Justy over to use there since it would be perfect for the roads and such. We have spent a lot of time and money on our Justy and I am tired of it now so not sure if that will happen. Have to wait and see I guess. Anyway, great project and really cool to see one in Sweden!

well uning tires/rims that size on a vehicle that is designed for much small causes several problems for instance my cousin was pulling a corner @ around 45mph in his 69 camero sliced his right rear tire wide open (with the fender lip) and rolled the car 4 times thankfully we were able to salvage the motor!!! Yeeeeah, down down dow danr here here theere derr, one time Cletus & Lefty & us, we was goin' down to the fishin' hole, weez fixin' ta git us some crawdads n Cletus done loaded the shot gun with real shawt insteaduh rawk sawlt, but he fergawt & took a shawt at Lefty cuz he thawt it'd be funnier than a one eyed dog in a bucket. Well anyway, we had to load up Lefty in the Jeep & git on down to that place where they took the Vice President's pardner after he done shot him too & git him patched up all nice & like. Moral of the story was, always be careful cuz ya might spill yer beer.guess thats how they talk in NC huh. Where the sheep and single men smile? wouldn't be surprised with all the hick ass's down there. Get a life and stop bashing the guy. He had a point.

No, a boxer will not fit in a Justy.

xtremzj, you have no point of reference so in the words of Walter Sobchak, shut the fuсk up, Donny!
Firstly, I don't know what the hell you are talking about because that conversation had nothing to do with the South and I happen to love the Carolinas personally. Secondly, you obviously haven't been here long enough to know that gjilk1 is a nuisance and we were all taking turns pot-shotting him for the stupid things he says. You're off the hook with a sharp scold this time.

Dudes please stop the fightings I have now bought a turbo from a friend. It's from a Audi A4 turbo diesel and are good for 130hp wombatsauce: yes they are really rare up here....reeeally rare ^^ I live about 160km south of Stockholm in a town called Norrköping. ultima where did you get the manifold flange ? My uncle did it at his work, and he's gonna make me flanges for the turbo to, so that I can start with my custom manifold The new hood are painted(not exactly the same color thou) and mounted. The new trunk. The goodies. The oil hose were lying around and fit both turbo and adapter perfect!

Shouldn't be hard to find someone who can cut out a flange for you. I just made a template out of the standard manifold and gave it to my uncle

Update! I took a trip to the car that I got the hood from, cause I needed a better wheel hub. Found out that the wind screen was really nice so I bought it Also I had been thinking about doing something about the ugly white inner roof, since nothing else is white. I found a not so expensive vinyl paint and went nuts Before: The "new" wind screen: The bad wind screen is out and found some ugly rust DONE! Not so good pic, but you can see the difference in the unpainted part at the wind screen (everything is painted now)

Ultima,
Looks like you are enjoying yourself. THAT is what JUSTYs and driving vs. commuting are all about - enjoyment.
What did you do about those nasty surprise cavities?! I've been fretting about the windshield replacement, hoping against something like that!
Nice Wishes,

Nice Wishes, You and me both 89...I have to replace my windshield next month in order to pass state inspection . I can see some rust around the windshield in the upper right corner...but now with Ultima's findings here, I am really afraid of what lurks beneath the glass in unseen places!

89: yes I'm enjoying myself with my justy, exept for all vibrations it makes, how it runs bad when cold etc.....but it's getting better, even if slowly I drive this car everyday, especially since my volvo isn't done (tuned enough ^^) yet, so my dad put metal plates with silicone over the rust holes temporarily. I think the rusted metal is beyond repair anyway, so I'm gonna wait till spring and find something to replace it with then Just can't wait till I get the turbo build done...

Well, mine is a 11/87. So it was produced in the year of 87.. even if it is a 88 car.. In North America, 1987 Justy's were only 2wd! -Terry

Well ......According to the plate on the drivers doors sill, my 4wd justy was made in 08/87. I know someone who is not a member of this forum yet and doesn't live in North America. They have a 1985 4 wd. If I get pics I will post em.

Hey Ultima, it's great watching your project move along. Can you tell me - how hard is it to legally drive and modify an older Japanese car there? I am thinking of moving to Sweden (near Stockholm) but one major thing holding me back is my 1975 Celica project car... I do not think I can sell it. If I knew I could get it running there and be able to drive it (summer only of course) then I would be pretty excited...
