when i got stuck in 2wd, and went to pop her into 4, i had and ecvt and it would seem to bogg down when it was in 4wd, and one time i had to be pulled out because the ecvt would not rev over 3k rpms, anyone know anything about this?

mmm - be carful with that ecvt - i hear they are not that tough and pretty expensive - new fluid may make a big difference though it sounds to me that you gear is going to high or the electric clutch is overheating / grabbing too soon - there may be adjustments possible but iv dont know much about the ecvt besides basic design.

ECVT Clutch most likely, I recommend using Ds when 4x4 is in use, it changes the way the clutch locks (sooner) and the motor revves higher (it's almost like putting an auto in L or 1st) The transmission just hold the lowest possible gear ratio.
