to the guy that raced a justy against the gtr and the elentra- you shoulda seen this bmw drivers face when i went from a 30 to a 60 once, i put it in 3rd and floored it and he dissappeared for a couple of minutes, when he caught up with me the look on his face was utter disbelief-it was brilliant!!!!! many people on the roads near me have been underestimating the acceleration on these lil cars and i love it!!!

There actually is a LSD for the rear diff of the Justy. At least my Service Manual tells this.
I'll have to check again if your're interested.

what kind of wheels are on the Justy in that picture?? I want some!!! They look exactly like a set of 13" American Racing wheels that were on an 89 Justy I picked up a few months back. Mine have the "Crappy" black center caps.

When my front axle broke and left the car in rwd, when I would accelerate around tight turns the inside rear tire would spin

I found some LSD for a Suzuki Alto , Wagon R etc. I wonder if it would fit in the Justy? I really would like a LSD up in front, as I get a lot of wheelspin in 2wd , especially in right hand corners.

When my front axle broke and left the car in rwd, when I would accelerate around tight turns the inside rear tire would spin i had a lsd in my jeep for 2 week and i was able to make spin my rear wheel while turnig, its just a couple of cluches that old both axles together. (the lsd exploded after the seccond trail so i went to full lock ARB ) there are soome cheep ways to build a lsd... its a bit redneck but it work! you just have to put a piece of torsed metal beetwen the spider gears so they will brake there rotation. this will limmit the spin of the diff. the probleme is that if you are stuck and need to spin for a long time, you can scrap the spider gear.

Ok sorry for bringing back a topic that hasnt been posted on for ages... but i was thinking of a similar thign earlier... Especially after watching these guys drift their baby subaru's www.t-wrx.net/wrx/Videos/othervids/drift11.asfCray eh? Can see them using the e-brake a lot, cant work out if they are 4wheel drive or what? Could you make a justy do this, especially when you let e-brake off, powering the back wheels up and continueing drift even further? just a crazy idea ! if you pull e-brake on in the later model justy, the 95 onwards i think? You know the ones that are permanant 4 wheel drive... well yeah anyway : you pull handbrake on, do front wheels still drive ? i heard that rear wheels only spin if front wheels lose traction or something? I need my mind to be at rest ! cant get these thoughts out of head... cheers guys, going to bed now.... and enjoy the video , insane japs ! lol Peace. -mark

I used to have a datsun 510, which uses the same R160 diff as the subaru's. NO nissan/datsun application that I know of (in the U.S. anyway) ever came with an LSD... all the datsun guys find subaru's to steal them from. I think the XT turbo and Loyale turbo are good candidates to find them in. I dunno if the justy uses that same diff, though. it looks smaller... is it an R160? If I remember correctly from the datsun days, the diff cover should have a marking on it that sets it apart as being an LSD.
most of those old 510's have 3.70 gears, but the automatics had 4.10.
there are also a few guys who take the diffs out of nissan's 300zx turbo, as some of those also had LSD. but it's a much bigger, beefier rear end... built to take 300 HP and a 3000 LB car from the factory.
