Today I drove about 10 miles away all was fine. When I went to drive home the transmission was stuck in low gear and ecvt light was on. At least the idiot light worked, What does it mean? I drove the little car winded out going 20 mph for 30 minutes because I had to. At 70,000 miles would the brushes be worn? Is there anything else to check? It was fun to drive the ecvt I just wish It lasted me longer. This car is so pretty I get asked to sell it almost daily. I hate to get rid of it, what a shame. Please help if you know anything about these wonderous trannys.

Dumb question, but did you check the Automatic tranny fluid level? . Mine wouldn't move till I topped it up.

I haven't had time to check it yet. The bad thing is I was forced to drive in low gear for about an hour winding the motor to go 20 mph. I hear rod noise now. I don't have time to fix it. It is a shame because this car is really nice and clean. Everyone was asking if it was for sale. Little do they know.

I was going to sell it, but I liked the way the ecvt feels, and it is cleaner than my 88 so I started to drive it. That's when everyone wanted to buy it, because they knew I already had a Justy that I have driven for years. Seriously this car looks every bit as good as what is being sold today. Just y that this car is really a lemon. I might try to fix it if I find a donor car because it is worth a lot of $ with the price of gas.
