My 1993 ecvt runs very strong. It makes a whooshing sound at first takeoff and before stopping. I just added honda cvt fluid to keep it good. Is the whooshing the electomagnetic clutch?

I drive an ECVT and i love it, mine does whoosh a bit, but ive never had any problems concerning it so i assume its just standard

Funny, but it seems to me that lately the majority of Justys I see for sale are ecvt. With the bad rap they have received, seems that the ecvt seem to be hanging on.

All three of mine are ecvt's and my daily driver still works great despite all of my lack of attention( don't even open the hood)

My 1992 ECVT is working great. Only have 127,000kms on it. The tranny has never had service. But then again, the whole car is mint. But yea, I don't get a whooshing sound, but it does take off hard at 2500-2800 RPMs where there's a lil "zip" in the ECVT. Real fun when started cold!
