I have done dozens of ECVT conversions 2wd & 4wd. I have sources for just about any Justy parts, new, used & rebuilt. I'm in Denver but I can ship anywhere. I prefer not to deal with ECVT (automatics) because it is a problem transmission. I can provide cores & parts for them, though. If there is any interest, I can quote you a price complete with instructions & shipping.

I am doing an ecvt 4wd to 5spd 4wd conversion and I'm wondering what needs to be changed. I know the 4wd in the ecvt is electronic and the 5spd 4wd is vacuum controlled, the wiring harness is also slightly different too. Thanks, Nathan

i have two justys one is 4wd and the other is not. i was kind of thinking about doing a 4wd swap into my car because the 4wd the motor is burnt up? is that a worth while project?

Depends on what kind of conditions you drive in. If you get snow where you live, then 4wd is very very handy. Or if you drive on gravel roads. If you always drive on pavement, and never in snow, then you don't need 4wd. If you are going to do a swap, pick the vehicle that has the better body, and go from there. Since you have one of each, it makes the conversion a lot easier. Besides the obvious drive train difference, there are also differences in wiring harnesses. Chico, same for you, if you are going to swap in a 5 speed, then it is easiest to swap over the wiring harnesses as well, including both engine bay and dashboard harnesses. Easiest way to swap the dashboard harness is to swap over the entire dash assembly with harness. Computer will also need to be swapped. By far the easiest is to have a complete donor car to scavenge from.

Hello there I have a 92 subaru justy ecvt 4wd, with a bad tranny and good engine, and a 88 subaru justy 5 speed 4wd, I want to swap the 5 speed from the 88 justy into the 92 justy, both are 4wd already, does anybody know if this swap is compatible, I want to know if the differentials from a gen one and a gen two are compatible, and if the rear diff from a ECVT 4wd is the same as the 5 speed 4WD thanks for any info. Joe.
