I just got a 94 justy with an ECVT tranny that is screwed up. Should I scrap the car or decide to try and fix the tranny? The car drives fine, other than a little bit of torque problems. But the tranny won't go into reverse or park, I have to disengage the shift fork on the tranny itself to move the shifter into Park so I can start the car. I am thinking of scrapping it, everything else on the car is fine thought except for a little bit of rust.

Hi, If you decide not to fix the car and are determined to scrap it, I have a 90 4WD 5 door Justy with ECVT that needs an engine BAD!!! (It launched #1 Connecting Rod). I am in Midland North Carolina about 25 Mi east of Charlotte. If you are fairly close by I can do a road trip and take it off your hands.. Please let me know. You can contact me via Email at viehmanj@bellsouth.net I would love to have it to get mine back on the road! Please contact me, Thanks, Jim I just got a 94 justy with an ECVT tranny that is screwed up. Should I scrap the car or decide to try and fix the tranny? Actually I am in Winnipeg, Canada. So that's quite a distance. You know everything with this car is perfect except the tranny. Couple small rust spots and that's it. I was thinking of taking most of the parts from it and using them for my good justy down the road. I need front shocks and wheel bearings from this car, because they are in good shape.
Is it that hard to find a justy around your area? I can tell you it's pretty hard in my city. I've had my car for 1.5 years already and I've only seen 2 other Justy's on the road. And there is nothing in the scrap yards. I picked this one up from a guy who lives in the country, and he got the car from British Columbia.
What I might do is take the engine out before I scrap it, do you think I need a engine hoist? It's probably pretty light I bet.
