The following links are ideas, discussions, solutions, and outcomes regarding fixing, modifying, and trouble shooting COMMON issues for the Justy. These are in no way perfect, accurate, or guaranteed answers to problems. These are answers from some of the most active, accomplished, or ingeniunitive Justy owners working upon a stock EF10 (1.0L) or EF12 (1.2L) engine. I will also try to source parts for North America. Those of our European/Asian owners are more than welcome to add links for parts or forums, and I'll be happy to edit the information by region. I'll start with the oil system. (#1 Reason Justy's Die, by the time you see the oil light, it's too late 3psi only)
Common Engine Issues:
Ticking noises? (Balance shaft chain, Worn chain tensioner, Valves need adjustment, Exhaust leak, Rocks in tires (
Thunking noise like rocks hitting each other? Changes with RPM?(Bad rod bearings, Bad main bearings, Low oil pressure, No oil, DO NOT DRIVE you will lose the motor, below are solutions)

OIL PAN - Pre 1989 uses corktype gasket, after Subaru switched to RTV sealant, and added a windage tray. These pans do not interchange between the different length and equal axles. Oil pan can be done engine in. Highly recommended to check rod/main bearings, crankshaft at this time.
