Looking into trends with mini 4x4 trucks, many of them use utv tires for an off-roady look. Being the smallest 4x4 I will have ever built, I was wondering if other people have tried using these kinds of quad and side by side tires. Many of them are dot approved now, as side by sides are starting to become legal on roads in some places. Our justy came with 14" rims and tires, but came with 6 original 12" justy rims. With an additional custom 2" lift, I'm also looking into purchasing these Anyone try utv tires? How do they handle? Any problems etc

Welcome to the club! I'm a new member from VT and have been looking at a lift and some DOT approved UTV tires as well. There's a company called SJR lifts I believe who makes a complete 4" lift for these little guys. I'm sure they could do up a 2" lift if you asked. This is not a very active forum, so don't get frustrated with zero to few responses to your threads/questions. I believe this is the best justy community and there are some members here who know these cars very well. You going to WBM? I'm hoping to have the wife's justy ready for the trip.

I've looked into the sjr lift, but he wanted me to send him a check or money order in the mail... not sure how I feel about that. I'm handy with metal and a welder, I'm sure I could make something similar, as the kit looked to be basically spacers anyway. The tires I linked in the op were only $85/tire or so and dot approved. Maybe im just too used to buying truck tires, but it seems like short money lol Also.... WBM?

There are lots of archives of "lifts" here, but hey the cars are at best 23 yrs old, most are more... they were probably engineered thinking "10 yrs tops!"... so our numbers are dwindling. anyway here's a recent, subarujusty.proboards.com/thread/6383/2-inch-suspension-liftThere are more, but many have lost their photos...

Where are you guys finding just regular 12" tires? It's getting increasingly difficult to find them anymore.

Tire shops keep trying to sell me trailer tires, and they are hella stiff.
