I just became a new owner of these 3 Subaru Justies last Sunday. I don't even know anything about the Justy or theirs existence. The original owner/hoarder passed away 3 months ago. He was crazy about the Subaru Justy. He had one for daily in the early 1990, and he thought they were the greatest car ever, so he went out and bought 3 more Justies, drove in his barn, and threw covers on them, so if his daily ever falls apart in the future , he just go to the barn and takes another one out. In this way, there always a Justy to take him around. His daily was involved in a rear end accident a few years back and was total. His family bought him a Toyota Camry as a daily because it has all the modern day safety features, like airbags, abs, traction control, day time running light, air conditioning, heated seats and etc. I'm sure he hated the Camry and wanted to get back into his beloveds Justy. The Toyota didn't died like he was hopping, but instead it out last him. So , the son inherited the property and decided to clean up the barn of old useless junk cars that has been parking in there for more than twenty years to make room for his big boat. He took a few pictures and posted on Craigslist. And this is where I come in. I drove two hours from western Massachusetts to the barn and when the first cover comes off, I was ecstatic, and threw a number and got all three . Neither one run because old gasoline, tires were all deflated. Now I have three headaches. Any helpful informations to get them started will be greatly appreciated.
Update! I got all three Justies running within a span of 10 days. I drained all of the fluids: old fuel, oil and coolant. Replaced with new fluids. Replaced one starter , two fuel pumps and three batteries. I detailed the interiors and exteriors. The red 1994 is 5 speed has 50k miles. The silver 1993 Justy is 5 speed with 30k miles, both are in excellence shapes. The white 1991 Justy is a 4wd EVCT has 80k miles with minor surface rust but very solid. I just learned how to post pictures so here they are: i planned to keep the white Justy, and Im looking to sell the other two Justies. The engines purring like new. Shift into all gears. I got one up to 80mph ,now that's scary .
