First off it's not a Justy, but for all intents it is. I have a 96' Subaru Domingo van from Japan. Subaru used the Justy 3cyl 1200cc EFI engine in these micro-vans. Has only 49,000km (so only around 30,000 miles).
It's had a couple problems which are related.
Hard starting, it will (not always) take a lot of cranking and weirdly need the gas pedal pushed down a little.
Rough Idle, runs like a top when driving, but when you stop, the idle will most of the time drop almost to stalling (occasional stall). Give it a bit of gas and it doesn't drop. Mileage has been horrible with these problems.

Finally it recently would not start at all. Towed it to my mech. He said he checked fuel pump pressure, checked that injectors all fired correctly. He said the cylinders were wet with fuel, and checked and there was a lot of gas in the oil. Let the cylinders dry out and changed the oil. She started and ran, but the idle and the rough starting proceeded to get worse again. And I'm back to it not starting. Does smell gassy when trying to start.
My current thought is leaking fuel injector(s), which would be dripping fuel into the cylinders.
Any expert opinions?

Not an Fuel injected guy here... but Throttle position sensor? Given that the problem is "at idle" and as soon as you open the throttle things perk up
Do some digging on that?

Reading up on throttle position sensor symptoms, doesn't seem to match up with the issues I'm having
Bad TPS says these symptoms
An unexplainable bucking and jerking in the vehicle.
Sudden idle surges.
Sudden engine stalling without any apparent reason.
Hesitation while accelerating.
Sudden surges in speed while driving on the highway.
Intermittently flashing of check engine light for no apparent reason.
My symptoms have been rough idle when sitting, hard starting, and really poor mileage. When starting, I'd often have to push the gas pedal just a bit and it would fire. That shouldn't be the case on a fuel injected car.
Any other ideas? My father was wondering about crank position sensor, but I can't even seem to track down info if it even has one.
