So the summer season is coming up and I am looking into ways to improve my little Mighty Mouse.
One of the issues that comes up is losing power near the end of my runs (or going up steep climbs). It feels like I'm losing fuel pressure due to the extra demand on the engine. I'll be adding some gauges and one for fuel pressure is on the list.
My question for the Justy gurus here (especially the racers), have you any advice to keep the revs and power up?
Here is an example of what tends to happen... good power and tire spin up until half-way then just decides to give up. (Just a side note, the louder engine at the beginning is the Toyota pickup on 33"s in the other lane, and I get excited at the end because I beat him.)

Hey... Not sure... sounded to me like it just bogged out... and you fell off the toque curve. Problem with the gear box... needs to be closer I've never bogged so I don't know the particulars... Fuel pressure? The pump is pretty adequate for the load (I think the turbo guys don't have much problem) Maybe look at getting a cam? simple upgrade, then deck the head... oversized pistons?

Advance the timing 5 degrees more, should help a little

Unrelated, but I'm coming up to Fairbanks this summer; we should meet up!

check the vacuum pressure on the intake and run her a bit more rich and see about advancing the timing. I'm also still learning so check with others
Edit: also the bogging reminds me of being in southern Ontario, awesome!

So turns out work started later than normal so I had another month to play/travel hence the long delay in response. Thanks for the advice! Just pulled him out of his winter storage and I'll try your suggestions. Ke7ofi... I am now in Fairbanks all summer so if you feel like it, you can stop by and we can do a little Justy offroading!
