hi gents,
I've replaced every bushing in the stabilizers front and rear but still have a clunk. its metallic sounding, seemingly in the rear, more pronounced from unloaded side during cornering, not audible over big slow bumps but more at higher speeds over road imperfections... could someone suggest where it might be from?
thanks

hard to say without having the car in front of me, I would start by double checking torque on everything. Then make sure there is no bad rust, these poor cars do rot out in some structural areas. My next guess may be balljoints? Thats my two cent good luck!

Check your front sway bar, between the radiator and the motor is a spot that it connects to. And both my Justys are broke right there.

I can't believe how poorly the front swaybar has been supported on these cars. My one tore the front support from the bracket... I would like to upgrade the swaybar for better cornering, but everything would need changed.

Update: changed my bad tie rod and tie rod end on the passenger side where the sound was coming from but no change. Now I'm thinking steering rack backlash needs adjusting.
