Hello ive had my subaru justy for about a year, it hasnt been my daily driver but i do drive it fairly regularly, recently i replaced the passenger side half shaft because i heard it clunking when turning left and the boot was torn so i thought the joint had worn down, well after installing the new one which has the same clearance as the last (right up on the oil pan) i saw the score marks on the oil pan where the clunking noise was coming from ( the clamp that holds the boot on is contacting the pan)
My question is this common on other justy's or would this be cause by my motor mounts sagging maybe?
I would hate to keep driving it like this and wear a hole into my oil pan then i would be in a world of hurt.

As the motor and transaxle are one complete unit, the motor mounts will have nothing to do with this.
Unless someone has put a gear type clamp on the boot, instead of a proper clamp, the clamp should not be the largest OD of the CV.
How tight are the bolts that hold the little stub shaft in place? if these have loosened up, it could cause the CV to flop around.
