HI! I bought a 1990 Subaru Justy DL this past summer for a whopping $400 and here we are $1500 in parts later and I am re-wiring my Tach. I found one from Equus that is adjustable and a has a 3cyl setting. It also has the ability to use the wire induction method of reading RPM using a piece that clamps onto either the coil-to-dist wire or one of the spark plug wires. This is the method I have been using for the last couple months and it works, but not all that well, it constantly loses signal. The tach comes with an extra wiring harness that will allow me to hard wire it in though. I have the power and ground wires all setup, so i am just wondering where other people have attached their lead wire, did you find a good spot on the coil or distributor? Pictures would be much appreciated!! Thanks in advance!

This is a late reply, but try connecting it to the points at the top of the distributor.
My Justy's tach gets its signal from here.
