Hi, I am new to this board and a new owner of a 1989 Justy 4x4 (or Trendy has they are known as i Scandinavia). Plans for the car is as follows. - Big service, all the oils and other fluids. Filters and ignition parts.
- Oil cooler, oil temp and press gauges
- TURBO!!! (blow throw carb with some intercooler).
- Have fun in the (hopefully) very snowy winter (that is coming).
The cars as run 145000 km (90098 miles) and is almost fully serviced at a Subaru dealer.
This will not be my first turbo build and I have already read a bunch of threads on the subject here on the board. But will still have some questions, will try and document as much of the build as possible.
Wish me luck with the project!
Pleas read my other threads regarding gaskets, oils and other stuff.
Regards Erik.

Welcome Jajsen, This forum is a little more laid back, so.. ... sorry for not welcoming you earlier. Hope you have run across this thread, you find it interesting for many reasons: subarujusty.proboards.com/thread/1813/subaru-trendy-87As for Oil, I go for the cheapest , slightly thicker oil and change it more often to keep it clean-- and if it is thicker my thinking is that all that will help keep the little oil pump that is barely enough alive.
