Hey guys, I much appreciate finding a forum for little Justys!
My name is Connor, and I am from Greensboro, NC, and I own a 1990 Justy GL 4x4, 5 speed. Its fuel injected, and in very fair condition. Some things need repair, but all in all, this justy has been well taken care of. It has plenty of power for what it is, and gets up and goes pretty good. I figured it would be very sluggish, but was pleasantly surprised.
The front passenger wheel has a crazy wobble, so I put wheel bearings in, and torqued the axle nut to 129 ft lbs, and still bad wobble. When I was doing the bearings, I noticed the knuckle has a lot of unusual wear, as if the previous owner drove it for a while with a bad bearing. So I ended up ordering a new knuckle, CV axle, and gonna warranty out the bearings. Parts should be here friday.
The car needs all new motor mounts, but I cant find them for a decent price. Ebay wants a lot of money for the mount under the oil pan, and the mount on the lower crossmember that bolts to the back of the transmission. Also needs the torque strut mount.
The A/C compressor is locked up and needs to be replaced, hopefully before it gets too hot this summer!!!
The solenoids that control the 4x4 have issues, One solenoid works but the other one does nothing when I apply power and ground on the bench. If I switch the two vacuum lines, 4x4 works perfect.
Thats about where I am at right now with my little justy, and I am sure I will learn a lot of cool things about these cars from you guys!
Thanks, Connor.

Hey man, thats pretty neat! I moved up here from Charlotte about a year ago. I worked at a shop down there on lawyers rd in indian trail for a while.
I've been thinking about picking up a used cylinder head still loaded with cam and valves, to tinker with. I want to port it out real heavy, and do my intake manifold to match. Just to get a little more efficiency out of the top end. Did you do any upgrading to your car during the rebuild?!
Thanks, Connor.

Havent modded mine yet, i wanted to get it running again drive it some and see what I think from there. I bought mine with a Weber already installed and an aftermarket adjustable thermostatic fan control all emissions related stuff out of the loop. I focused mainly on cleaning up some of the wiring and some of the on the fly repairs it had done on it before i took it over. Funny enough I only drove this thing a handful of times before the clutch gave out and I pulled the engine for resealing. I hope to have it running this weekend if I have the time.

Nice man, kind of fun to do all the work yourself, huh.
I just pulled mine in here at the shop, and I have a big list of stuff going down today. Bought: 2 new cv axles Wheel bearings wheel seals rotors pads passenger side knuckle intake kit
I did the exhaust on it a week or so ago when I had time, and I think it needs more air coming in to match up better, so I picked up some parts from advance to put together a "cold air intake." The exhaust is 2" pipe from the header back to the axle, then I put a 90*bend in, where it meets a 2 1/4" flowmaster. Then I made a tip that looks pretty cool. I painted all the muffler and piping black so you dont really see it when behind the car. I dont know if the exhaust made it pick up any power, but the torque feels just as good even with the post cat removed. I especially like the sound of the flowmaster on this car, because it is not all loud and racey like the fart cans can be.
I am gonna put all the driveline stuff on today, and do an alignment to try to get it rolling as smooth as possible.
Thanks, Connor.
