Hi everyone,
My name is Gary and I'm from the UK. I have been toying with the idea of buying a small 4wd hatchback for some time, and have decided that a Justy is exactly what I'm looking for. The AWD models are quite hard to come by here in the UK, but I have managed to find one for sale and am going to look at it shortly. I'm not paying a lot of money for it so as long as it's capable of making the 80 mile drive home so that I can work on it I am happy.
So how does the AWD system work on a Justy? I also have a Suzuki Jimny which has is a RWD and engageable FWD by pulling a lever which engages vacuum hubs on the front wheels. Is the Justy system similar to this? Also, any common major/terminal problems I should be on the lookout for when buying a Justy?
Cheers,
Gary

Hi!
A justy is part time 4wd. You push a button on the shifter and a vacuum solenoid opens and engages and moves a lever then it becomes real 4wd.
The Drive-line itself is fairly robust. You may have an easier time getting parts then we do in the US I dont know. The weakest part is the oil pump, and of course rust. If you see a flickering oil pressure light (do start it and let it warm up so the oil thins out) Otherwise its fairly straight forward simple car.

Hey Gary,
Before we go much further... what year? As after 1995, they were re-badged Suzuki Swifts... with a very different driveline.

Thanks Nipper for the welcome. Hi Matt, the Justy I was talking about was in fact a 1994 model, very similar to in this picture. I know which ones you mean with regards to the re-badged Suzuki Swift, but I much prefer the older ones personally. Unfortunately the Justy I was looking at is no longer for sale, so the search continues...
