I was wondering if anyone knows if there's a cabin/heater/AC replaceable filter under the dash of the early Jutsy's? My 1988 Justy's heater works okay but the AC seems to be lacking. It still puts out fairly cold air but not to the degree where I think it should.
Yes, I've had the fan motor, freon and all hoses replaced in the recent past but the AC just seems like it should be a lot cooler.
I also have a 1998, (an antique as far as CR-V's go and only 10 years newer than my Jutsty), Honda CR-V and the AC gradually got less and less cool. I found out there was a replaceable "cabin" air filter under the dash and I replaced it, (with a lot of hassle), but it made a world of difference!
It seems to me the last time I took the glovebox out in my Justy to replace the front dash speakers, I think I remember seeing a small square filter under the dash. Anyone know?

I think you just see door that switches between outer and inner air for the fan... I also have poor blow and I think it is because load of dust and other stuff in the fan...

Yeah, you're probably right. I have a factory 1988 service manual and nowhere in it does it mention anything about a cabin air filter. Shame they did't include one.

No cabin air filter.
Mato, check the duct between the blower motor housing and the central unit. It is a flexible piece that can very easily pop off partially. Turn the fan on and feel all around that area for a leak.
Gene, check to make sure your radiator fan(s) come on full speed when the A/C is turned on. If your A/C is in good working order but not blowing super cold you should check the temperature door operation. It is the flap inside the heater box that directs the air past the heater or the evaporator depending where you put it. If the flap is binding, or not allowed to seal because of leaves or something your air will not be cold.
