89 carbed with fwd. It was a 500 dollar craiglist move ive not regreted. My inital plain is to do an ev conversion. Reason being I live on vancouver island and parking plus close distances means I hardly burn gas. The car and its 999cc motor has been awesome for the infrequent taxi runs it does. I see some oil on the far passenger side under the head. I love this car tne way it is, if it where not my plan to make an Ev car i'd be worried about the motor. Right now im stoked about its size and wieght. Since driving here isn't ever over 80kph (55ml I think) and 23km is the farthest I need to go, an ev mod will be a performance enhancmen for a car this old and nimble. With that said, ive also been hooked on the fourms and things people are doing. If I ever see a awd justy on vancouver island ill nab up another. These are sweet little cars. Ive owned tons of little 4cyl cars, mk1 83 diesel rabbit, 91 dodge shadow, 92 mazda 323, 80s hyundi pony, and 90 geometro. All good cars, none in canada with the drive train options the little justy has, aside from the epicly crappy pony none that throw down to the rear wheels (323s in canada vary rarely have awd)

I like the idea of electrical Justy! In Europe older cars gonna have bad times because their emissions... Probably I will need to do electric conversion to save my Justy one day... But I don't like the actual way people doing it (put lot of batteries in car...). It is plausible to make just magnets powered generator, so you don't need to charge it... But oil companies probably owns rights for it, so it can't be brought anywhere...

Nice, that's what it's all about. Saving the cars wile learning to build some thing your going to live with. On the emissions laws in bc, they are strict, however in just my area no emission testests are done. Makes it eazy to get a car for this, also any inspections are done through the same office as every thing else the ICBC. Which means when i get it inspected they start a tax break and lower insurance rates because it's alternative powered. All at once and not over and ocover again. I hope more people on the westtwest coast build ev cars with the plethora of rust free buckets there are out here suporting moss bacterial ecosystems and fungi. I swear ive seen some with trees growing through one, ... wait no it was a bayliner. Any way i feel like my island makes it eazy to regester, but i need to find an electric forklift or hydraluc pump motor, which is in only a few places on an island this size. Can't wait, but stoked to have the justy running for the odd rip.

Justy an update, shes rolled over. Back to zero. Its been teo febuarys ago since i put this justy in my title. I keep debating its many issues and weather or not to sink money into this car i use infreaquintly. After its second insurance tag and a few vary minor discoveries. This car still wants to get me around. I drive it with low compression waiting for it to give up the ghost in stop and go city traffic, the justy loves it. I take it out for a bush beating, the justy laughs at that. I bring it to a closed of pebble covered beach in 120kph winds, makes me so proud it's still kick over when i put the key in. This car will be used to pick up its future over haul bits. I still like the idea of an electric justy, Im thinking mx5 rear sub frame and elecrtic motor bolted to the diff. I love the way this car is on our crampt city roads. When i look at newer cars and eye what I'm buying after schools over I'm still looking at a flat floored two door with that subaru spunk. For now and after the 3cyl dies. I'm keeping the justy. (Expecialy after i cleaned its intake last week, wow wow wow)

lol, justy still kicking. doing a head gasket and some top end work at the moment. I got out of class for a bit trying to get in the flow of paying off my studies. I might be doing a youtube channel for some friends about random crap and politics for another journalists channel. So if I get some of the cameras I'm buying and sending out with those projects I might try and up load some stuff about the Justy and maybe the future ford 5.0l ot 1985 bmw 325i swap in February that my room mates are tackling. The justy can be mended over the winter wile I pay off stuff and look for more parts, I'm thinking mazda parts in the rear end. Just thinking that's all, hard to find justys easy to find n/a miatas
about the head work, valves are so greasy. I'm waiting till the week end to pop the head. I ended up with a shift at the local head shop last week end so didn't have the time to invest on. There are a few good machine shops near my real full time job so if I can get some idea of a price I'd feel much better letting them clean it up. so far so good. leaking outside the cylinder walls has been normal and it's coolant has been normal. if this turns into a repair log I'll upload, for now I'll keep going on it.

Hey back with the justy's status right now. it's awaiting time in the shop because i broke the crank bolt after doing a head gasket job. so I'll let my guy do the timing and I hope this means good justy for the summer. I'm also planning a US trip soon so if I do get it running there will still be plenty more work ahead of me. (Parts trip in my huyndai for more Justy bits and so on) Washington, Oregon and possible Iowa, northern California. here's a picture of the bolt: Got to get me some 4X4 parts and forklift pump motors too

This old justy finally made it to the scrappers this week. In her final hours she gave up fenders, various electronic parts and swing arm bolts to my NEW(ish) RWD Justy. Did the conversion once I discovered the hubs where in good order, (4 wheel nope) no matter. I wanted to mod... To wrap this one up. I found up island from me a guy who collected him self a mess of cars to EV and ended up with an Electric Justy project for beach combing and errands. I have to thank that guy right here for the replacement justy. Shout out to the EcoModders! I'll take a good engine off your hands any day, Take care of that mean looking electric Justy! BTW if I get to visit him again for parts I'll ask for a post or to take a picture.

I have a 95 with electrical issue- maybe the push button starter rigged by the previous owner. Are you still looking for parts or another car?
