Hi, I miss my gl wagon ( broken camshaft ) and am looking for a justy. Are there any years that are better or worse than others? Are there any justy specific things I should have checked out before I buy one? I want a 4 wheel drive. I have my eyes on a 92 4 door and a 88 2 door. Thanks.

the actual difference is somewhat marginal. the 92 will be fuel injected and in my mind, easier to diagnose issues on.
the 88 iw carbed.
the FI will have slightly more power but after 30 years its hard to tell which truthfully has more stallions. besides those two points there isnt much difference thats wroth discussing.
id go for the cheaper, better shape one.

The 92 might not be fi, but most likely will be if it's 4wd.
89 and later justys are a bit more robust, bigger axles, hubs and such. Although it can all be swapped over if need be.
Bottom line is, go with the body style you like and as spongebob said, whatever one is in better shape.

I forgot about those hub issues. frankly with the lack of a 165 tire availability id for sure go with the 92. more traction + oldschool hubs = no hubs.

I would go with the one that is mechanically and bodywise in better condition. If one's really rotted out or has bad drivetrain problems already, go for the other.
