update for today i have mounted the justy on the chassis rotisserie i had a few scary moments when i heard some cracks and bangs but all seems ok tomorrow i will be removing both sub frames and looking for any rust that needs some tlc

today's update i have marked where i need to cut the shell to fit the engine and gearbox sadly i made the decisions to keep the auto box that the engine came with but still should be fun also i made the decisions to use 200sx s13 front and rear sub frames and a Volvo 240 manual steering rack the justy is started to get the paint removed for a respray all the suspension and drive line has now been removed all the drive line and engine gearbox is for sale in in Swindon uk if anyone is interested please pm me wont be asking much for them

i made the decisions to keep the auto box that the engine came with probably best... given the difficulty or expense putting any manual transmission behind that motor (I've looked into it for another project, but scrapped the idea based on the transmission problems) Also, given where the motor will be you would have to sit in the back seat to shift...

hello madmatt thanks for your reply with the auto box i will still need a shift linkage however a few pivots should sort this out i have designed the transmission tunnel so that in the future when i have the funds to put a manual gearbox it will fit with very little modification

The "shifting from the back seat" problem could be solved easily if you used a remote shifter like the one I have in my car.
Good progress in the project, I just hope it doesn't die out like most of them.

TODAY'S UPDATE the fire wall has now been cut and so has the transmission tunnel next i need to get the sub frames from an s13 shouldn't be to hard but may take a few days to search for them after that i will be taking the car off the roller and mounting the v8 in for the first time so i can make a new firewall and tunnel
