Here is a thread about my 3'rd subaru justy. bought it from a younger guy who had owned it since januar/february this year. the first owners were a old couple so the condition of the car is really good! I've mounted a 3-spoke-steeringwheel from the facelift model. the rest of the interiour is like it was when it came out from factory. red carpet whit red/black seats. the rear arches are pulled and rolled and I've fitted some Allycat rallye special 6x13" et15 wheels on it. the wheels are poking now. sticking out 2,5cm from the arches before i rolled the arches. I'm going to buy som Jdm fenderflares for it later. the tire dimentions are 165/80r13. I've read on dustysjustys.com and dicided i should buy a turbo-kit for it. i have 2 ef10 engines and 1 ef12 left so that should not be a problem to figure out of to do it. going to use the 1,2 engine and put carburetor on it later. (turbo) I'm also looking for to make some more negativ camber on it. I have mounted a extra antiroll-bar on the front. going to put the rear antiroll-bar on it later. picture from when i got it. the new wheels fitted on it here after these pictures where taken I've polished the car so the paint is red and shiney. sorry for awful bad english. haha

Really nice 1st gen! It makes me sad to look at mine and see the rust It looks good with some different wheels. Make sure you do your research before turbo'ing it, there are a few good threads here. Terry

Thank you, yes its in pretty good shape for the age. 29 years and 160.000Km but its not 100% impeccable. I will do some research first yes! I have to! first time ever so it could be fun. I've been looking at these turbo kits for justy on ebay (not bolt on kit) and wonder if theyre any good? I can post some pictures of the two cars i had before this one, they didnt cost anything and it's there I've been taken parts from. swaybar (under cunstruction) and antirollbar in the front e.c.t, yes i have double antirollbars! my first justy as a 13 year old, I'm 19 years old now
this is why i loved the justys, the are evil winter machines hehe. then I bought a new one when I turned 15. the blue one was from slovakia and was full of rust! never seen so much rust on a car before. the red one had much rust to, but not that much.engine out. the idea was to put the engine (1,2l) from the blue in this one. took the older 1.0l out because of ifniton problems. this is how the blue one ended up, partscar. the first generation justys is pure love. much cooler than the facelift models in my eyes. I got the red 5-door still waiting for better times. hehe

hehe yep, genious cars! bought the new justy because I am going to change engine in my bmw e36 320i. Im going to restore the bmw so i needed a another car for awhile. Im really a bmw guy, but I like most cars! (old classics and prefer cars with rwd) and I've liked subaru since collin mcrae and petter solberg was driving it in rally Right now I'm welding brackets to the rear sway-bar/antiroll-bar. I've mounted the upper mounting and now I'm welding the brackets to the lower wishbone. some questions: #1. And I'm wondering if there are possibilitis for making some negativ camber on the justys, right now I have positive camber and thats not the best to drive with. (understeers alot) I may change the strut?bearings?! (I dont know whate they are called in english...) #2. the right rear will are closer to the arch then the left? why is it that? #3. Did any jusys come with a Limited slip diffrential? I was checking the service instruction on tolerancedata.com and it did say the rear differential needed LS-oil wich I think is special oil for LS Differentials. so did the 2nd generation/facelift come with LSD as standard? #4. I have an differential from the 90-93 justy and wondered if it was LSD on it. should take a look and open it some day .. but does it fit my 1985 justy 1.0L?

I have some problems with sturt mount... but maybe your arch was rusty and someone who was fixing it use more body filler on one side. 3. I do not hear about LSD for 1st gen Justys...

2. dont think it has been "restored" cause the wheel arch trims is sitting perfekt on it without any mods or something. may change the strutmounts first.

finished making the brackets and welded them up. so now i got a antiroll-bar in the rear. that was some of the best things that I've done to this car. much more comfortabel when im turning! but the rearend will kick out if you break heavily through a corner where it is slippery. (wet asfalt) picture of how my antirollbar(s) look like in the front, hehe.. the only thing i need now is the 40/40 loweringsprings from H&R and i might need fenderflares then.

making a new exhaust silencer for the justy because there wasn't enough space for the originale silencer when the antirollbar was fitted.. its not that easy when you have to lay on the ground and weld with electrodes as you hold the silencer where its gonna sit. kinda tired of it now dritt jobb!!!!

You could use a cheap/ small floor jack or cut some wood to the right length to hold it up temporarily.

hehe yes. I've done that. just so annoying when the electrode gets stuck or something.. but I'will get it done. almost finnished. just need to weld the arms who holds the silencer up in the bushings. but they dont seem sit when i weld them. the get loose for some reason.. I've modded the stock silencer now. may buy a cheap small one on "biltema" tomorrow with more flow so I have that to the day im going to put turbo in it.

My exhaust is back where it belongs, now i have the classic inline3 sound not the awful v8 soundalike sound.. haha was much easier to get it where i wanted the jack under the silencer. Wish I had mig so the welds could look a little better. but no exhaustleeks or anything so shouldn't complain about that. the look of the end pipe was nicer to look at before though. should upload some pictures for you later. I want to order inletmanifold from renault r5 turbo and a carburettor and add it to the 1,2 inletmanifold. wondered if the ebay turbokit is any good. its not bolt on but nothing is. I want to take of the front drivshafts and make a JDM drift of it now at the summer. It should handle corner better as rearwheeldrive. front wheel drive is just good for understeering:P Its a reason for why BMW have rwd! and why the bmw awd works like it work. any suggestions to my ideas?
