I think I know why the link did not work, I am using Linux and in it file extensions do not matter, seems ilke dropbox needs file extension for correct identification.

ok. I thought that there was different material in that pdf file. Well, I do have a collection of Justy stuff including diagrams for electrics, mechanics, body parts, close up shots, logos (CorelDraw), Brochures, service bulletins, custom electric upgrades/addons, Chilton etc. Got loads of pix of my own too But credit to actual owners of the stuff that I collected from the net, specially this forum. Been thinking to host it all on some server.

Thanks gearheadeh, I did visit a couple of carby experts here who after inspection simply refused to repair saying it'll be of no use. He said, that their could be serious damage done to jets due to the drill. So I guess I'll have to search for another non-tempered carb. I do have an electric valve on the gas kit. Any help on the vacuum lines? specially the one I highlighted in the picture... I really would want to get this carb to be improved in some manner since hunting in the junkyards for a good working carb isn't easy either. Also, what's this for? It's not connected to anything in my car. Can you guide where does this go? A few more:

Gazaking, Not sure what you are saying by quoting this older post. The one picture that is identifying a do--dad on the left is probably something to do with the Natural gas secondary fuel system. Probably the fuel lock off when running on gasoline. It looks to be disconnected at the moment.

I do not claim to be any kind of expert on these AWESOME little cars, but I do have a Factory Service Manual that I can share some details with all of you. Here are the relevant pages for the Vacuum lines and where they go. This section of the manual is THICK and about 20 pages describing how the Subaru Engineers originally intended this to be connected. I hope this helps. NOTE: This is for a GEN2 car: mine is a 1992 and this all makes sense for me. You might be a GEN 1 car? older? You should have a vacuum line diagram on a yellow sticker under the bonnet! The diaphragm on the front that is blanked off is for the autochoke.
My whole carb is totally goosed, and now the exhaust is puking out bluefish smoke which makes me think the engine is knackered because if piston ring wear thanks to heavy over fuelling (I had half a tank of fuel which had vanished over the course if 30 miles).
My engine has done 145000 miles which I suppose is fair and now want to put in an ef13 from a newer Justy.

Eagerly waiting for the pix I need all the help I can get on vacuum lines. Also plz do post pix from your car. I bet it'll the same model of the carb too. I even have doubts on the fuel line connectivity. If... 1st line is for fuel INLET 2nd line is for fuel RETURN Why there's a 3rd line? What are the correct connections? Comfused... I am anything but an expert on this, but if by " the 3rd. line," you are referring to those coming out of the firewall into the engine bay, on my car ( 89 GL 4WD 1.2 L ) it would be the vapor line to and from the gasoline tank. It has a plastic two-way valve ( big end of valve toward the tank ) and goes to the vapor canister. It keeps the pressure in the tank proper and it vents vapor to the canister to limit emissions to the atmosphere. Hope that helps you some.
