My check engine light has been coming on intermittently for a few months now. My computer is flashing out a "code 33". The code list says
"Main system in feedback"
Now what the heck does this mean!? I need a code decoder decoder! Anyone ever have experience with this code? Just today the car started hesitating at acceleration from a stop. I don't know if it's just a coincidence or not, but I have a full tune up planned in a few days. In the mean time, if anyone can explain "Main system in feedback" to me ,I would appreciate it.
Cheers!

Carb ... Code 33, Main system in feedback I had this error code for a few minutes the other day. The light came on when I started the engine and went out the instant I let out the clutch and started moving. I would like to know more as well. It happened again yesterday. Danimal

Okay, here is more.
I never noticed that the light is related to clutch use, but I'll try to relate the two in the future. It seems to come on and off at totally random times. Sometimes first thing in the morning. Sometimes when on the freeway. Sometimes in traffic. Sometimes when hot. Sometimes when cold. I have not noticed any pattern.
It is on less than 10% of the time.
It has been like this for months and run seemingly perfect until yesterday. Yesterday I noticed a moderate to severe hesitation when taking off from being stopped. It happened repeatedly, and the car was warmed up. I had to really rev it to make it go. I don't know if this is related to the check engine light or not.
Do you know what "Main system in feedback" means?
Cheers!

Well, the hesitation has subsided as quickly as it showed up. I put some fuel system cleaner in the gas tank. Don't know if that was the cure, but it's gone for now at least. I'm also doing a complete tune-up in a couple days.
However, the check engine light is still coming on intermittently. Still at random times. Still a code 33. I also noticed that when the check engine light is off, the LED on the computer flashes completely randomly, no pattern at all. Is this normal?
Can anyone tell me what Code 33, "Main system in feedback" means?
Cheers...

Update: Hesitation has not returned since the fuel treatment. Check engine light still on intermittently (no relation to clutch use).
Today I installed new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter, oil filter, and oil, and cleared the codes (disconnected battery during tune up).
I'll update if/when the check engine light comes back on.
No one knows what Code 33 "Main system in feedback" means?
Cheers...
