Hello there, Got the car to move again after adjusting the throttle cable and accelarator cable. However, it is stuck in low ratio and will not release. The RPM's rise but it will not come out of low. I do not want to damage the engine. Could the cable need more adjustment? Looser or tighter? Or am I looking for something else? Any help is appreciated. This car has turned into a weekend project. Thanks Bob Avella, PA

The throttle cable isn't going to cause this problem unless it's stuck in the wide open position. There's most likely a leak or sticking piston in the valve body. I've come across this problem myself more than once. Drop the pan and check the valve body bolts for proper torque.

Well... Sorry to say but with deep regret I sold my Justy today. The dreaded ECVT did me in and like Mama said "it put a whoopin on me"" Thanks to all who gave me their expertise and if somebody out there has a "like new" Justy for sale with a 5-speed I would be interested.
Thanks again, Bob, Avella, PA
