Hey,
We need to know whether it's front wheel drive, or 4WD.
Count the number of flashes and the sequence.

Hey,
Is the clutch temp light going off when it cools down? If it does, look at and smell the trans fluid. I've cured this on one Justy by flushing and changing the fluid.
Under the driver side dash is the ECVT control unit. Look and find the two single pole connectors and connect them. Then read the code.

a couple of connectors hanging down ... This connectors are only hooked up for test/code reading purposes, so they should be hanging loose when you find them. One is called the Test Mode connector, and is green, two pins I believe. The second is the Read Memory connector, and is black, only a single pin. -Danimal

Hi guys, accelerating from a stop in 4 wheel in the snow to 15 km per hour, heard a slight ting sound then nothing. no mater what gear I shifted to nothing would engage. Like being in neutral. Tried to get into 2 wheel mode but the indicator would not change over to such. This is a '92 automatic Justy 4X4. 4 door. Any solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Riko

Since the 4wd won't switch, it's most likely there's a loss on hydraulic line pressure. Either the transmissions pump shaft slipped out from the end of the crankshaft or the secondary pulley hub in the trans broke. I have seen both happen. About the only thing you can do is to pull the engine and trans as an assembly (the only way it'll come out) and separate the trans from the engine. At that point you'll be able to inspect the pump shaft. The last Justy I purchased with this problem ended up being a cracked pulley hub. Here's a link to that thread. subarujusty.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=ecvt&thread=2156&page=1

Riko Come to think of it, I have a Justy out back in my collection that did this exact same thing for the previous owner. I've always wondered what gave out in it. If I ever get some time this winter I'll have to pull it apart and see what happened.
