Does anyone know what should be the proper gap for the contact points in the distributor? Have looked in the User's Manual but no info could be found apart from the spark plug gap. Kindly advise.

Hello,
My manual states the contact point to be between 0.45 millimeters and 0.55 millimeters. Which is about 0.0177"-0.0216".
aaaand I just realised this topic was way older than it looked. Still, I guess this could be useful info for some people? :c

My 1.0 has the point gap specified on a sticker on the Hood. 0.45 - 0.55 mm
