A Justy at 7000 rpm with headers and triple carbs... makes a most terrifically wonderful sound. Dude record some of that !! There are not enough Justy videos on youtube !

Yeah, I was short on time and didn't get any incar... but here is close to the sound... I was shifting at 6000 (pre-dry sump)... but the timing was back to only 20 degrees all in. www.youtube.com/watch?v=pS81j9avq-IThe pic in my avatar is at 7:23... Looking at the gear ratio, and thinking about the sound (around 4500 rpm 4th gear) probably somewhere around 75 mph (120 kmph)...

Is there a way for me to see the pictures or do you have to pay something because of the host site?

After years of storing photos on photobucket... argh, what a kick in the pants. (In case you didn't know, photobuckwt is asking for $400 a year now to host third party) I'm debating what to do. Find an alternative hosting site of some sort. Sorry for the lack of goodness, I'll try to get it back, but it will be a big project. Okay Edit... The fix z80jon found works if you are using chrome... so here. chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/photobucket-embed-fix/naolkcpnnlofnnghnmfegnfnflicjjgj subarujusty.proboards.com/thread/6587/photobucket-pix-fixI will try to use that to catalogue and move all the photos slowly... not gonna happen overnight

Ha! Well... I went down that route. Thought long and hard about it. There are lot's of good thing about the VW aircooled pumps. Mostly that they are an external pump by design, so hopefully they would not leak like my frabracobbled contraption! That being said they are intended to mount to a specific engine mount, and that is held "off the shaft end" so you would still have to cobble together some sort of mount set up. I think if I was to start again, and build something "from scratch" I might start with this as posted by Armageddous... subarujusty.proboards.com/thread/2915/orange-rally-justy-returns?page=7 But there is still a lot of work to be done. The easiest is to start with a off the shelf 2 stage dry sump pump... but then you are $500 deep. 3 stage? $600... How fast do you want to go?

KA24E pump might be also interesting, but you need at least two of them. Interesting thing in VW solution is the price - 150$ for 2 stage pump is not a lot.
