I had 3 justys and a few junkyard engines and they seemed to have a bunch of worn rod bearings. Is that a trend with Justys? If so, why? rz

Yeah, most Justy's I've come across in the junk yards have bad crank bearings. Seems pretty common to me!

the problem is the oil pump.
The oil pump shaft does not have an "oil grove" machined into it. so the shaft starts to wear, and you loose oil pressure.

seams to be were most of my engine failed to...on the rod. on the next one i will probably have friend rally master to modifie my oil pump to rase oil pressur. and i guess the most reason wy those justy went to the scrap yard is becose of the engine....so...good luck to find a good one at those place....you need to plan the rebuilt $$$ wen you get it at the ward... well...in my case...i need stroung engine...so i have no choise. PS: its good to see you here Randy! wy dont you sell your slow RS of your and start racing in the Justy! ;D BTW you would of love P-N last weekend! how was sand blast ?
