... feel like the motor is slamming back down on(maybe) the motor-mounts, but if feels worse then that. I am getting the annoying clicking in first and second!! Sounds and feels! like one half a some kind of rod or stick is loose and banging about!! grrrrrrr... ... hauled in the 4wheeler mud pits yesterday in second at arooouuund, 7500 rpms, it was fun... That should get rid of those pesky sounds, eh Jesse? For me, I wasn't able to get full traction until I hit JUSTY VTEC at about 12,000 RPMs. My front and rear brakes were adding too much unsprung weight so I got rid of them and those f-ing seat belts also. Why do they put seat belts in cars anyway?

this is what i was talking about. it's like he cares, by not caring. does that make sense? nothing is ''wrong" with his car, it's just perks. and he really does treat it like a subaru. where are the pics of the 4wds in the mud? **looking around** not here....

Definitely two opposing and widely divergent classes of Justy owners here...the preservationists and, the destroyers. The former sees the Justy as an eco-friendly semi-classic icon that needs to be preserved and protected at all costs, the latter sees the Justy as simply a fun toy to thrash and trash at will, to push it to the limits and if it finally dies...oh, well Occasionally the preservationists find an old Justy that the destroyers have trashed and attempt to bring it back to life...spending mucho time and $$$ in the process. To each his own, I guess .

I feel like I fall into the first category, but at times I just want to see what the justy can do! Its kinda like the force from star wars. I'm on the brink of the dark side.

Now just(y) you wait a farcleing minute! Just because I drove it through a mud pit and got it a little dirty does not mean I am "a fun toy to thrash and trash at will, to push it to the limits and if it finally dies...oh, well"-ing, I am "seeing what my Subaru can do"!! Screw Honda CRX's, and anything that is remotely designed like it. This car, and correct me if I am wrong, CAN HANDLE IT. I am not jumping it off cliffs, I am not slamming it into trees, I am not putting in anything less the SUPER gas, ok??? SO farcle you. You wanna have a picture perfect Justy to do your grocery and puppy dog-in-your-manpurse hauling? Fine. You wanna actually DRIVE your Subaru? Then talk to me. There still is nothing wrong with my car. I still do regular things with it, just fine. Stop judging, weenie, and drive your Subaru. And they are not that rare, here in Eugene, there are plenty enough to choose from, withought having the "Civic" curse. And no, I am not trading. I may buy someday, but no trade. This one is it.

good to hear you're keeping it.
I didn't mean to imply you were abusing your justy if I did. If anything not "testing" your car out every once and a while is abuse. How are you gonna know everything works if you don't, at least, approach the limits every once in a while? If you break something that just means that part won't break when you're trying to navigate an icy road, or get out of a snowy driveway.
I don't know about you guys, but every now and then I get too much energy all bottled up, and I just feel like I should running or something. With such a spirited little car as the Justy is its unfair to think they don't want to "run" every now and then too.
Taking your justy into some mud every once in a while is kinda like taking your girlfriend/wife out. You don't have to go out every week, but when you do take em out don't cheap out right?

Whatever, OK...you're just driving through mud and red-lining the engine . These little cars are tough, but are getting older and rarer (at least on the east coast)...so I'm babying mine! Besides, I'm going for the world record for mileage on a Justy w/o an engine rebuild..getting nearer to 200,000 every day! ;D

This is a muddy Justy! I didn't break anything (Still haven't either). I didn't thrash into jumps and crash into things. Just found a soft mud pit and had some fun. The only problem with this is the long cleaning process afterwards. You'd be surprised where mud/clay ends up. I had to thouroughly wash the drivetrain as the clay dried to it and caused the car to be very unbalanced. Jeremy
