It's a champ, the damn thing won't pass smog because of a fuel evap system failure. My license has been suspended though due to unpaid speeding ticket so i guess i have some time to get workin on it. At least i can buy headers for it =D

Justyless & gang, if this thread were only one or two pages long I wouldn't have to ask but since there is so much great info in here I want some input before I do anything. I am happy that you got a Ranger (I had a '94 with 2.3 and loved it) and want to keep hearing about it but we would probably have to bump this whole thread to 'Members Other Rides' unless a new thread is started. I didn't automatically do that because the majority of this thread's content still applies to 'Projects'. Should I bump the thread and let the Ranger talk continue in this thread or should I leave it be and request that all Ranger talk go into a new thread? Which do you prefer?

I don't know if that turbo would be to small or not. depending on how much boost you want and how you drive. If it is rated to produce 14.5 pounds of boost on a 600 cc motor at the same rpm it would make 7.25. this would a snappy turbo setup!! in large trucks going down the high way they use a huge turbo to get the max fuel economy but in the case of a sity operated truck they use a smaller turbo because it spools up more quickly. Three would be a huge folly becasue it would be hard to plumb them to run the same from the exhaust sice and from the intake side.

Be careful lightening the fly wheels!!! when you reduce the rotating mass of the car the traction drops off. if you lighten the fly wheels and drive on a slipery road it may not want to stay on the curve.

Thanks for the link Canon, Theres certainly a difference between rotating mass in an engine, and moments of inertia when cornering.

No problem, I myself hate bad information.

Lack of traction because the engine is not as smooth as with a heavy crankwheel causing shuddering at the wheels down the drivetrain like a drag car without drag bars on the rear axle with soft springs hopping up the strip.
