Thanks for sharing those Cañon Carver! I've been meaning to put them in this thread. Also, thanks for the PM on rs25, I'll have to add to the Justy thread you created there. Been out of the scene for quite some time.

So this is my first post on this forum, and it's an old thread... Anyway, I had a couple '08 STI seats land on my doorstep so I couldn't not make this happen. It took about $20, 3 hours and involved grinding, drilling, and definitely some luck. Here's the end result. This is a '92 GL 4x4 Attachments:

I revived the thread so others may prosper, lol. With that said, great install, they look great(aside from the upside down pic Did you use Matt's template to fit them?

Holy upside-down... trying again. One other note... The key to it all is dropping the seat as low as possible. The thing about the rails on the STI seats is that they don't just bolt into the bottom of the seat like Justy seats. There are horizontal mounts with pivots to allow the up/down adjustment to work so the "adapters" I made were done with 2" angle iron (1/8" thickness) to achieve the necessary offsets. Attachments:

I have a pair of 2003 WRX front seats I was going to put in my '93 but I don't have the car anymore. I cannot bring myself to remove the fronts from the '91 so I have them for sale. But, I am near SF, CA and there is no way I can ship them unfortunately. These are my favorite Impreza seats and they would look great in a Justy. I actually like them better than the V4 STi seats I had in my last 2.5RS.

I keep wanting to swap the 06'WRX seats out of the OBS, but then I just think of buying some V4/V5 seats instead..I don't know what I want. I will probably end up rocking my broken OE seats until I figure out some better alternative. -Jamie

Hey Wombat, how much do you want for the seats? do you have any pics? Thanks, Chris I was trying to get ~$150 or so for them. There's someone that wants to pick them up on Tuesday, so if I have them after that I will put pics and stuff up. Both are nice but I really like the ones with the integrated head rests - they remind me of the STi seats, but just all black. The V4 STi seats I had were the grey/black ones with the grey parts being that suede-like microfiber and the red edges on them. The standard seats in the 2000 Impreza turbo wagon I had in the UK were exactly the same minus the red parts. Those are really amazing - they look physically a lot like the seats in Matt's car. I just really like the '02-'03 WRX seats though, just really simple looking and super comfortable, but they are also nicely bolstered.

How do you guys get on with the legal side of seat swaps? or does your system not require vechicle certification if non "original part" seats are installed? Here its a $480 inspection and certification fee and the vehicles off the road for about 8 weeks until the new certification plate is rivited to the firewall.
