I'm embarrassed to say the fastest I've been in mine is 78mph. It will go faster, but I don't want to hurt the little motor. when I'm on the highway for hours, I keep it under 65mph and keep the mpg's way up Ahh you have no worries, I once drove mine flat out for 20 mins on a long very unused portion of road when no one was around.

I have been thinking about getting rid of my justy only because it is at high rpms on the highway, but seem like no one else is bothered by it so I will keep it for now.

Every weekend for about a month and a half now I've made regular trips to my buddys wooded land about an hour away on highways. I am completely impressed with this thing on the highway. It seems to do better the more I drive it on the highway. I go down there drive around in the woods, grill food, shoot guns, and have fun I just plan on changing the oil more often like 1500-2000 mile rather than my standard 3000 mile. My fastest so far has only been 84 MPH according to GPS but I typically cruise at 75-77 MPH at about 4300 RPM on the 12's. It still pulls at those speeds, and sounds sweet minus a muffler too!

Same boat for me No Muffler, no Aftercat it sounds almost race'y. I drive mine to work 560 miles every other week. Im only cruising 70mph @ 3500-4000rpms. I hate how high it revs to keep it at that speed but any lower and it would be out of the power band and probably wouldn't keep it moving. I need turbo. LOL

I wouldn't mind going a little faster in mine but that oil pressure just isn't where I would like it to be at those Rpms. She definitely feels like she wants to go faster! Hopefully that will change now that I'm running 10w-40 instead of 10w-30.

I have my oil pressure coming in the mail as we speak. Did you guys use the port that the oil pressure switch uses? or a different spot for your pressure gauge?
I have never tried cruising down the highway @ 70mph , but once I have the oil pressure gauge, ill be able to see if I am going to be safe at those speeds. I bought four new General Altimax tires and did an alignment recently, and now it drives very smooth at highway speeds, so I am more willing to drive it far. I had a lot of trouble with my car tracking sideways in the snow, and couldn't figure out why, but when I put it on the alignment rack, I was able to see that my steer ahead angel was wayy out, causing rear toe to point hard to the left. Now I need some more snow to test it in ha ha.

Back before my Justy was a stupid machine... it would routinely cruise for 3 hours, 4 times a week, at 120-130k. 75 ish MPH... no worries, on an abused block that went on to several successful rallies before we finally started blowing things up.

I have a tee screwed into the oil pressure switch hole on the block with my original pressure switch and oil pressure gauge line coming off of the tee.

Matt, sounds like you got to test a justy for what it is. Ya I am juat doing what I can on my free time to keep my justy ready for when I do mountain trips. After reading through this thread, I have more confidence in my little car, as far as going the speed limit on the highway. Some places here, on I40, its 70mph zones, and before, I was averaging 60-64mph the whole way. Now, I might make some decent time.

Go for it dude, I'm in NC too in the Piedmont hills all over. I confidently ride on i77 and I85 at 75-80 mph.
