So are you going to break that apart to weld it all up?

Solved the problem with the too close waste gate. I just modified the bracket so that it could be moved a little more down the turbo and also turned the heat shield around

Are you still able to access the sparkplugs? From the pictures, it looks like it would be difficult to fit the socket in there to change the sparkplugs.

Well I think I'm gonna get a big problem with the left one, or else I'll "just" have to remove the manifold a bit

Today it was time to start the hardest part of the turbo build (well for me at least), the oil return to the pan. Didn't get everything mounted back today, but I'll do the rest tomorrow... The trendy goes in the garage and the oil goes out. Rebuilt engine that's for my Volvo. Maybe I should just mount it in my trendy instead? ;D;) A few hours later (damn there was many irritating bolts for the oil pan). However I really like the result Also I got a nice boost meter from a friend, for installing a stereo in his car. I never wanna take out the oil pan again.....

Mind if I ask where you got the exhaust tubing and what size you used? I'm working on an exhaust manifold also to replace that pesky cat and stock exhaust and I'm dropping the engine back in today.
Very nice job btw!

Thanks The tube is 42,4mm in other diameter and like 2,4mm thick. It's not too hard to find, try any hardware store that sells stuff for heat, ventilation nad such.

I made a template of the normal manifold and my uncle cut it out at his work

I think he did it by hand, but not sure. I found out that the clock in my recently new trendy 89' was a nice VFD, so I swapped it into this one instead. The front/frame was much better too I also tried out my adapter for the Renault 5 GT Turbo carb. It fits quite well, but I'll have to cut the pin screws a little so that they don't get in the way. Before: After: Looking good?
