Thought I could post a little of my Trendy's life since I got it. Well it's a "Trendy", like they seem to be called in Europe, from 87 and I bought it around march 2007. Other than the Trendy I got a nice Volvo 240 Turbo, which I'm right now rebuilding the engine for around 300hp, and it can be seen a little in some pics, the black one The trendy wasn't in the best shape, but me and my father (well most my father) fixed it up a lot! The boring thing was that the clutch gave up just a few minutes after I was on my way back home after I bought it, but I was lucky enough that I found a used clutch in okay shape. Well I don't know if there's much to say, so let's get to a bunch of pics Oh and please go ahead and comment! Just got it home. Engine out for replacing of the clutch. The old looks good? The right side's weel bearings have seen its better days

Thanks stacks: It was my dad that just removed the engine, and it probably felt best for switching clutch. It was a really hell to get the splines right in the tranny, and at last my dad went totaly nuts pulling the engine back and forth, and then suddenly it clicked and got perfect I'm gonna post some more pics later. A sad story occured last week when I crashed into a car and messed up the front a little (thankfully at low speed).

Ok, lets continue A while ago a friend got himself some new nice rims, and we got the idea to try the old ones on my trendy. The tyres are 195/50/R15. After going nuts with a hammer on the right wheel house, and buying a pair of 3mm spacer to the back I got this result: I think it looks awesome on this little car, but I got a problem. The suspension moves too much, which causes the wheels to touch the fenders. I'm gonna try to find some harder springs/dampers, to make the car more stiffer.. Now to a sad story. Last week I was on my way to work and I looked away for a second, and right then the traffic just freezed and I crashed into the car in front. The other car only got some of my paint on his towing hook, but my front got beaten up pretty nicely. The problem for me here in Sweden is that it's basicly almost IMPOSSIBLE to find another trendy for spare parts! Fortunetly everything was repairable All things have new paint, so I will post more pics tomorrow

At the first picture I had glued the upper and bottom parts together, which fit the dash perfekt Then I tryed playing with polyester like people do in sound installations for example. I took an old t-shirt and placed it tightly over the whole thing and then put on a lot of polyester After some sanding I got the form I wanted and I put on some super-stretch vinyl, unfortunetly I had to cut it up in the back to get it together, which later opened up. Btw, thanks

would be glad if you could explain the polyester stuff, does it work like fiberglass?

well instead of using a fiber glass net together with the polyester for exampel, I used a t-shirt to get a whole shell around it. So you put it on tight and fasten it so that you get the right shape you want, and put on polyester. I did this cause I didn't like the original shape How you understand, I'm not too good at english

Sadly, My US market 88 4WD Justy never came with one nor can I order one. My question... Would you be willing to sell the hatch spoiler and if so, box it up and ship it to me in the US?? I know it will probably cost some heavy $$$ to ship from Sweden but, If it's not too bad I would be willing to pay just to have a unique look for my US market 88. Please let me know. Thanks in advance, Jim

It's nice see that I'm not the only swede at this board The paint wasn't dry today, but it will probably be good tomorrow so I can finally put it together again. Now I need your opinion a little.. When we painted the car the first time we left the 4wd-sticker on the sides of the car, which was meant to be painted yellow (well the car was supposed to be subaru blue too ), and now I have almost forgotten about it. What color do you think I should paint it, cause it would be nice to show that it is a 4wd. I'm thinking about white, but not sure... yokto: you got PM!

a good fit to black is gold. good work, but the big wheels are absurd.

a good fit to black is gold. good work, but the big wheels are absurd. Hehe, I personly think it's nice with these "big" (actually small ^^) wheels, and it seems no one else uses this size

well uning tires/rims that size on a vehicle that is designed for much small causes several problems for instance my cousin was pulling a corner @ around 45mph in his 69 camero sliced his right rear tire wide open (with the fender lip) and rolled the car 4 times thankfully we were able to salvage the motor!!!

No, a boxer will not fit in a Justy.

the larger the rims and tires the more problems it has the ability to create in the future subaru did know what they were doing when the half'ly designed the justy so only a few sizes of tires would fit hehe oh yeah i forgot to say earlier nice work better than sj pile of dung it all depends on where your from jerk cuz you spill the corona around here your likely to get shot now who the #($&$@ puts a hemi in a chevy thats a hangin offence here thats like putin a 9" ford rear end in i a chevy mud truck we gut som geter up ecomonomy out that sucker do miles ta tha go juce sj go to do heII

Take it easy guys Well maybe I will go back to smaller (and uglier) wheels, because I can't find any car that has similar springs like in the back, and I don't want the wheels to easily go up in the fenders like they do right now..

not that my ideas are any good but you could have like 1" tower blocks made that bolt on top of the coil spring you would probably have to have them made they look kinda like this
