I think on these old r12 systems the condenser is flushable, hence no need to replace. Are you certain your compressor is shot?

I'm not certain but the clutch doesn't kick on so I'm assuming it's shot. They're no Freon left because a hole in the line in which I repaired and put Freon bank in. The compressor doesn't kick on at all.

Clutches often die... just an electro magnet, they get wet, corrode and fail.
Try firing the clutch with known good power. You can do this with car off. Compressor may be just fine.

one of my a/c lines is missing. Can't get one from the dealer. I have a set of good a/c lines for an 89' but they wont fit an 88.
