I just got this info from a thread on the USMB site. It is on Cross-Drilled and Slotted Rotors. I have an 88 Justy 4wd that I recently upgraded to use the bigger brakes from an 89 Justy GL 2wd with 13" wheels. I checked all the usual companies for drill/slot rotors and got nowhere! Just found out about Ricambi Sport. These guys make TEXT and TEXTI will call them on Monday to get more info. Has anyone on this Justy board heard of these folks or better yet, bought a set of their rotors? Just curious about any feedback. Their website is www.ricambisport.comJim

the only thing i can say is that the regular 13" wheel brake are more then enoug....even for rally racing....the car can brake on a dime...i would not want more powerfull brake. they make left foot braking almost useless becose they are to strung for the wimpy engine cross drilled would look cool do...but i dont need them....maybe for a race track aplication...but even then ? in any case...let us know what happen i would like to see them.

Black Diamond do brakes for the justy, for all models. they are fair on price too. i think you can get them world wide too.
ie: subura rotors in england are £160 a pair. BD rotos are £107.77 a pair. plus p&p if you cant collect - which was about £15 extra....
but as stated above, you really dont need them if your standards work well.
maybe a rear disc conversion? then again, the rear would skid everywhere when going too fast and hard on the brakes?!!

Black Diamond makes a nice set of pads and I will probably put a set on a 90 Justy I'm working on in the near future. Much has happend since I started this thread. I purchased the drilled/slotted rotors from Ricambi sports for the brake swap on my 88 4wd Justy with 12" wheels. In mid summer, I pulled all the 13" brake components from a 1989 Justy GL fwd donor car. Here is whats been done:.....I cleaned detailed and resealed all the hydrolic components. I had a custom 6 line braided stainless brake hose kit made by Goodridge for my application. I installed the new SP rotors from Ricambi sports and used AXXIS pads since I've had good performance with them in the past (I may try the Black Diamonds in the future) Finally, I flushed the lines and filled the system with DOT 4 brake fluid. I could do this since all seals were new. I have driven the car now for a few months when the weather has been nice (It's winter here) and the performance has been GREAT! This upgrade made quite a difference on my Gen 1 Justy. If anyone wants to see the finished swap Log on to ultimatesubaru.net click on photo gallery, then click on members photos. The pics are on page 14 under viehmann I wish I could post pics on here directly but, I can't figure out how Anyhow, Good luck to all the Justy Tuners out there...Remember..It can be done!! Jim

Jim i have a pair of drilled slotted front rotors for 4x4 justy. i don't know if they're 1st gen or 2nd gen or if theyre specific. im pretty sure they're for the few 88 89 90 and 91 that came with the 13 inch rims.
