So I bought my Justy with nothing where the spare sits. Fortunately I found a junkyard Justy with a spare, jack, and the jack handle/tire iron. They were all just thrown in the back of the junker car.
So, I was trying to figure out how Subaru intended the jack and tire iron to be positioned. Obviously the tire is held down in the center of the spare area, where do the other two items go?
Just trying to deal with the heavy metal things floating around in the back of my car.
A pic would be great.

No, a boxer will not fit in a Justy.

I'll look and compare my Gen1 and Gen2 tonight. BTW are you talking about a Gen1 or Gen2?

This is for a Gen2/Gen II Justy. There is a clip welded in on the driver's side of the spare tire well. I didn't think the jack would snap into it as it's fairly heavy gauge, but maybe that's the trick I'm missing.
Sometimes everything nests in the spare, othertimes it all gets secured on the sides or elsewhere in the vehicle.
Seems simple, but I can't figure out exactly where everything goes.

It doesn't snap into this clip. You just lower the jack down until the little hook on the side is below the clip and then crank it back up until its snug in place. The bottom of the jack should face upwards.

So here's what I'm working with. I tried the suggestions, but no go. I'm not sure, maybe these are the wrong jack & tire iron? They both have holes on them (with wear) that look like they are supposed to nest inside the spare and be tightened down by the spare tire hold down bolt.

Definatly the wrong stuff. The jack should be small and blue and the Iron is also small and should be in a bag marked subaru and the iron is not used to crank the jack.

Well shoot! Makes me feel better, though. I was having a square peg, round hole type of frustration with these things. At least they work to loosen the lug nuts and jack the car up. Funny that they were in with the other Justy.
