Ok easy question......maybe. I am going to install my oil gauge this weekend and I am not going to get the 3-way adapter, maybe. Is there a fuse to shut off the oil light? If not I might get the 3-way piece. Thanks!

If you are asking: The oil light is an essential indicator and should not have an individual fuse and is most likely tied to another essential circuit like the ignition. I will check my schematics when I get home tonight.
I do not know the model of oil gauge you are installing, but most do not have a bright red warning lite to tell you "you are seconds from self destruct", and can be missed in your peripheral.
I firmly believe it is worth the effort to keep the primary warning lite -IMO.

Ok put in the oil gauge. Cold at idle @ 35psi, warm idle @ about 5psi running @ 65-70mph on the freeway in 5th 20-25psi. I bought the car for $450. Should I get the oil pump thats $399 or is there a cheaper on out there?

**94just** there have been a few threads over oil types, what weight of oil are you running? Say if you are @ 10w30 (why) then move up to 10w40. If already @ 10w40 then try something heavier like 15w40 or 20w50. This should resolve your worry at idle, and the service manual does support this. I borrowed a pic from **SeattleJusty**

So my problem may be that I used Lucas Stop leak oil and its too thick?

What was the base oil that you added this to? The Lucas Oil Oil-Stop-Leak product is not the thickest I've seen (like Bardahl No-Smoke) I guess that would depend on how much of the additive you put in. I don't believe that the engine is serviced to more than 3 US-quarts, so a little bit (as the label would tell you by # of cylinders / or by system capacity) would be fine, a lot of additive can change the net weight of the oil significantly. I would figure the additive to raise your oil pressure though.
I will share a stupid story: Years ago a Friend added "no-Smoke" to his 4cylinder engine, the funny thing was he didn't read that it would take hundreds of miles to produce results, so he kept adding it till he had poured in over two full bottles of the stuff (over half of the engine capacity). He said it drove like crap with horrible acceleration, then it died with a bang. He broke a piston on the down stroke, the unconnected rod went right through the side of the block. I helped him replace that engine. ;D I am not implying that you would have done something like this.
I forgot to mention earlier that Synthetic oils have been found to work poorly in the justy engine by many owners.

Thanks for you input. I am using a Napa 10w-30 no synthetic. I only used 1/4 of the Lucas Oil. i think this weekend I will change my Oil and add 15w-40?

Figured it out!!! Orange Can Of Death!!! Fram Oil Filter. I should have known......Changed the Oil, along time ago, and put in 20-50 Napa Oil with Napa Premium Oil Filter and Pressure is good!!
